Anxiety is something I’ve suffered from most of my life so I am constantly looking for tips and tricks to help keep it under control – this book does exactly that.
Now don’t get me wrong, at the end of reading this, your anxiety isn’t going to magically disappear, but it will give you a few good weapons to help fight it off when it next attacks.
The way Robert Duff writes feels as though he is in the room with you, helpfully explaining the experiences you have been through in words you have yet to grasp. He takes you through the thought patterns and actions that could cause an attack and the gives you the tools to discreetly get you through it including some very helpful breathing exercises.
The narrative is incredibly different from your standard self-help book and I believe teens and young adults will appreciate the direct and unpatronising voice of the author.
I fully recommend this book to anyone who is struggling with anxiety and implore them to take on board and implement the tips provided, I only wish it was longer!
